Registration fees include a uniform for the player and appropriate trophy or championship ring. Please note that we are unable to issue refunds for any reason.

How to register? Online registration has replaced paper forms and helps to reduce the administrative burden and cost associated with registration. Payment can be made online via credit card, e-check .. Should you experience any difficulty with online registration, please contact us via our website or attend one of our open registration dates at the park. All leagues are subject to availability and our T-Ball and Rookie league could be combined for a season. Space is limited and assigned on a first come basis until each age group is filled.
All balances must be paid off by the end of registration.
Assessments:
Assessments are conducted for all players in our A league and above. Players will be asked to hit, catch, and throw for coaches. Registered players will be contacted the week prior to assessments with their scheduled assessment time. There are NO ASSESSMENTS for our T-Ball and Rookie Leagues (These league will be setup by the League Director of these leagues. Parents will be notified of their player's team usually within a week after assessments are completed for the rest of the park). Founders Club:
A limited number of Founders spots are available at a one-time fee of $250. Persons accepted as founders will have guaranteed registration for children provided founders are registered by the registration deadline. In addition, founders will have voting rights associated with the election of the Hobgood Baseball Board of Directors. Founder members are eligible to become Board Members and are entitled to reduced registration fees each season.
Coaches Information:
If you are interested in Head, Assistant Coaching, and/or Team Parent, please mark the corresponding area on the volunteer section. ALL organizations administering youth sports programs who utilize CRPA facilities are required to conduct mandatory, yearly, criminal background checks for all coaches, assistant coaches, team parents, board members, umpires, and commissioner positions. Current Cost is $22.50 and will be completed by using the link on the Coaches Documents page (You MUST select "Hobgood Baseball" during your application.) Background checks are conducted annually and are effective for one year (July 1st through June 30th). Those wishing to head coach a team should contact the league director in the applicable league. League director contact information can be found here under the Team Central Tab and then to the Leagues section. (Please note, there are some additional requirements of our coaches and we ask that you confirm with the league director in the applicable league.)
Code of Conduct:
By registering your child you are agreeing to abide by the Parent Code of Conduct. The code of conduct is posted on the Website. Please review the terms of this code of conduct prior to registering. When registering, you will be asked to agree to the terms of this code. Hobgood Baseball is a "ZERO TOLERANCE" park and any violations will not be tolerated.
Park Rules of Conduct:
In an effort to provide a family friendly environment where children can learn the game of baseball, Hobgood Park Baseball has adopted a Zero Tolerance policy for all coaches, parents, children, and guests at the park. To ensure Hobgood Park's high standards are maintained, all coaches will be required to sign a Coaches Contract. The rules are simple and apply to everyone in the park. Abusive language, racial remarks, or physical abuse toward children, family members, umpires, coaching staff, or any other park guests will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Volunteering:
Volunteering is a very important service at the park. We are extremely fortunate that our volunteers do NOT have to work the concession stand. We do require that every family volunteer in some capacity during the season. During registration please choose an activity that best fits your ability to commit. You will be contacted to review your assignment for the season. If you have any questions please email us. The following positions require time and dedication: Coaches, Team parents and Team parent leaders. The Team Parent Leader is responsible for communications to all Team Parents in an age group/league. It is recommended that only a previous Team Parent sign up for this role. You will be working closely with a Board Member and League Director. Carnival Committee members will take and active role in the Carnival. Volunteers for assessments and volunteer day will require that you be at these events for 2 hours.
